Who do you say Jesus is?

Is He a guru? A good teacher? A madman? Or is He your Lord? Answering that question is the most important thing any human being can ever do! And how each of us answers it decides our fate for eternity.
The legendary author C.S. Lewis (Chronicles of Narnia) once famously said that if what Jesus of Nazareth said about Himself was to be taken seriously then He was either a lunatic, a liar or the LORD. A madman or a conman could not possibly have accomplished the incredible feats that Christ performed, so therefore He must be who He claimed to be, that is, God in human flesh.
From healing miracles to exorcisms the Bible is a faithful and historically accurate eyewitness record of this amazing man.
The Bible says that every human being has sinned ( commited some kind of evil either in thought, word or deed) at some point in their lives and thus has fallen short of God's perfect standards. This leaves each of us with a huge problem: because God is holy He must uphold justice and rightly punish us for our sins. Scripture tells us that the punishment for sin is eternal separation from God in a terrible place called hell.
However, there is good news, actually, it's the best news!
God sent His only Son Jesus Christ to live the perfect sin-free life that we never could, and He willingly died on the cross to take our punishment. The perfect, sinless Son of God died so that you can be saved from the hellish consequences of your sins. What amazing love, what a beautiful Saviour.
What do you need to do in order to receive this precious gift? Nothing! You cannot earn it, buy it or be religious enough to be saved, the only way to spend eternity in heaven with God after you die is to put your faith in Jesus. To be saved simply turn from your wicked ways, repent and then believe that Christ died to save you and then He rose again! It's that simple yet it could life changing!
Maybe you just embraced Christ as your Saviour and Lord (praise God!), if that's the case then perhaps this prayer or one of your own like it will help you:
"Dear Jesus, I know that I am a sinner! Thank you for dying to take the punishment I deserve and for rising again so that through believing in you I can have eternal life. I turn away from my sins and ask for your forgiveness. Please help me to live the rest of my life dedicated to you. Amen."
